Computing Facilities

  • HP Cluster with Gigabit and DDR-Infiniband Network

    Consists of 17 nodes, each equipped with 32 GB of RAM and two 3.0 GHz Quadcore Intel-Xeon (X5472), making a total of 8 processor cores per node. The nodes communicate with each other through the Infiniband network with a transfer rate of 16 Gbit/s.

    In total, the cluster has 136 cores and 544 GB of RAM.


  • HP Cluster with Gigabit and DDR-Infiniband Network

    The HP Cluster consists of 8 nodes, each equipped with 32 GB of RAM and two 2.33 GHz Quadcore Intel-Xeon (E5345), making a total of 8 processor cores per node. The nodes communicate with each other through the Infiniband network with a transfer rate of 16 Gbit/s.

    In total, the cluster has 64 cores and 256 GB of RAM.


  • Individual servers

    • Two Intel-Xeon (X5355) servers with two 2.66 GHz Quadcore processors, making a total of 8 cores with 16 GB DDR2-667-RAM each.
    • One Intel-Xeon (E5345) server with two 2.33 GHz Quadcore processors, making a total of 8 cores with 16 GB RAM.
    • One AMD Opteron 64-bit Server with eight 2.0 GHz dual-core-processors (total 16-core) and 48 GB RAM.
    • One Intel Itanium Server HP Integrity rx2600 with two processors 1.4 GHz/64-bit and 24 GB RAM.
    • Four Intel servers with two single-core Xeon 3.6 GHz processors and 16 GB DDR2-400-RAM each.
    • Two Intel servers with two single-core Xeon 3.6 GHz processors and 8 GB DDR-333-RAM each.
    • One AMD 244 server with two singelcore 1.8 GHz processors and 12 GB RAM.
